Scaled F1 Circuit Models

01 / Overview

The project

Scale models of Formula 1 circuits built from measured elevation data. Workflow runs Procreate sketch → STL conversion → Tinkercad refinement → FDM print, with elevation exaggeration tuned per circuit for readable topography.

02 / The why

Why.

Turn the abstract data behind real F1 circuits into physical objects you can hold — accurate enough to read the corners by name, with elevation tuned to actually be visible at desk scale.

04 / In depth

How it came together

  1. 01

Sketched circuit outlines in Procreate using reference elevation and layout data.

  2. 02

Converted sketches into STL geometry and refined them in Tinkercad for thickness, base, and registration features.

  3. 03

Tuned vertical exaggeration per circuit so elevation changes read clearly without distorting layout.

  4. 04

Printed on an FDM printer in PLA, iterating layer height and orientation for crisp corner detail.
